Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: 4 people killed in Russian attacks
Kyiv, August 8 (Hibya) - The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced that a child and the child's grandmother and grandfather were killed in the Kyiv region, while another person was killed in Kyiv in Russian attacks.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry issued a statement regarding Russia's overnight drone and ballistic missile attacks. The ministry reported that a 3-year-old child and the child's grandmother and grandfather were killed in a drone attack on a house in Pukhivka in the Kyiv region, while the child's parents and 15-year-old sibling were hospitalized.
The statement said that a neighbor who arrived at the scene to help the family was also injured in a second Russian attack. One person was killed and 4 others were injured in 6 ballistic missile attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in Kyiv.
The Russian attacks were also reported to have affected the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv and Poltava regions. Six districts in the Dnipro region were attacked, causing damage to homes, infrastructure, a logistics company and grain storage facilities.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated that more air defense systems and interceptor missiles are needed to protect the population against the attacks.
