In a statement shared on its social media account, the agency emphasized the urgent need to deliver food, hygiene kits, tents, and other essential supplies to the region.

UNRWA noted that a ceasefire alone would not be sufficient, adding: “Approximately 12,000 of our staff continue to provide health services, psychosocial support, and education, often under unimaginable conditions. They are the backbone of the UN’s humanitarian operations.”

The agency called on the international community to ensure humanitarian access to Gaza and the uninterrupted delivery of aid.
