UNRWA: Life-saving medicines are being held at the Gaza border
New York, October 29 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) issued a statement regarding medical aid blocked by Israel from entering the Gaza Strip.
The agency’s statement read: “UNRWA’s life-saving medicines are being held at the border without permission from the State of Israel to enter Gaza. As health centers face severe shortages of medicines, preventable deaths are increasing. Every delay costs a life.”
UNRWA recalled that it has provided more than 15 million medical consultations since the start of the war, adding: “UNRWA continues to deliver health services. Allow the entry of humanitarian aid.”
