Yeşilgöz: Tougher measures will be taken against Russia’s shadow fleet
Amsterdam, October 9 (Hibya) - Dutch Defense Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius said they aim to strengthen measures against what she described as Russia’s shadow fleet, which she said is used to circumvent sanctions and finance the war against Ukraine.
Dutch Defense Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius said in a statement that Russian President Vladimir Putin uses the shadow fleet to circumvent sanctions and finance the war against Ukraine.
Yeşilgöz-Zegerius said the old vessels pose a security risk in the North Sea and announced that a bill enabling tougher measures against such activities was submitted to the House of Representatives today.
