Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Alfa unit consists of professional, brave, and highly motivated fighters who carry out complex and critical missions every day for Ukraine’s security.

Zelensky noted that throughout the full-scale war, Alfa fighters have destroyed thousands of enemy assets and inflicted significant losses on occupying forces, adding that the unit is responsible for up to 20 percent of enemy infantry losses.

Referring to the impact of Alfa’s long-range operations, Zelensky said that these activities have made Russia feel the consequences of its aggression far from the front line, deep inside its own territory.

The Ukrainian President emphasized that the Alfa unit will continue to conduct successful operations in the future.
