Zelensky: Civilian casualties rise in Ukraine as Russia continues attacks
Kyiv, April 30 (Hibya) - Ukraine announced that Russia carried out more than 200 drone and missile attacks overnight, causing civilian casualties and infrastructure damage in several cities.
Zelensky stated in his remarks on the latest Russian attacks on Ukraine that there were serious casualties and material damage in the regions of Dnipro, Odesa, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia.
The statement said that 7 people are receiving treatment in hospital in Dnipro, 5 people were injured in Odesa, 2 of whom are in critical condition, and 1 person was injured in the Kharkiv region.
Ukrainian authorities reported that Russia used more than 200 drones and ballistic missiles in one night, targeting energy infrastructure, residential areas and civilian facilities.
It was reported that thousands of households were left without electricity in the Mykolaiv region after energy facilities were hit, while residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged in Odesa and Dnipro.
Zelensky emphasized that the war continues every day and called on the international community to increase pressure on Russia and maintain sanctions. He also thanked for the support provided to Ukraine.
