Zelensky: I congratulate the people of Sweden on their National Day
Kyiv, June 6 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Sweden for its contributions to the defense of Ukraine and Europe in a message published on the occasion of Sweden's National Day.
Referring to the support of the Swedish people and leadership, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said: "I congratulate Sweden, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, and all the people of Sweden on their National Day."
Emphasizing the importance of military assistance, Zelensky stated: "The people of Ukraine will always remember Sweden's significant contribution to the defense of our country and all of Europe. We thank you for all your support, every aid package, and especially for strengthening our combat aviation."
Drawing attention to efforts regarding Swedish-made fighter aircraft, Zelensky concluded his message by saying: "We are making intensive efforts to ensure that Swedish Gripen aircraft strengthen Ukraine's skies as soon as possible."
