Zelensky: It is especially important to strengthen Ukraine's air defense
Kyiv, May 14 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with representatives of the American think tank Hudson Institute and emphasized the importance of strengthening air defense against Russian attacks and the role of the United States in the negotiation process.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made assessments regarding the recent security situation in his country during his meeting with the Hudson Institute delegation.
Drawing attention to Russia's recent attacks, Zelensky said, “I met with representatives of the American think tank Hudson Institute and informed them about the consequences of the Russian attacks in recent days. In light of these attacks, it is especially important to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.”
Thanking the United States for its support, Zelensky stated, “We are grateful to the United States and all caring Americans for their support to Ukraine throughout the full-scale Russian aggression.”
Referring also to the diplomatic dimension of the meeting, Zelensky concluded his statement by saying, “During the meeting, we discussed cooperation with the US Congress, diplomatic efforts to achieve a dignified peace, and the importance of the active participation of the United States in the negotiation process.”
