Zelensky meets with German Chancellor Merz
Kyiv, April 14 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky referred to the current level of diplomatic relations with Germany.
Highlighting the historical importance of the consultations, Zelensky said, “Our relations are already at the level of a true strategic partnership, and the resumption of consultations will help us move forward even faster.”
Detailing the concrete outcomes of the meeting and strategic goals, Zelensky stated, “We discussed tangible results and future plans. The main focus was on the documents signed today, aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and resilience, as well as advancing the bilateral drone agreement proposed by Ukraine to Germany.”
Zelensky concluded his remarks by saying, “We have a lot of joint work ahead. I thank Germany for its support and readiness to move forward together.”
