Zelensky met with German Defense Minister Pistorius
Kyiv, May 11 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in Kyiv to discuss military cooperation between the two countries, energy security, and joint defense industry projects.

Thanking Germany for its support, Zelensky said, “We thank you for your support for our state and for all the assistance Germany has provided since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression.”
Referring to the amount of assistance provided, Zelensky stated, “More than 28.6 billion euros in aid has been provided during this period. This is a significant strengthening of our defense.”
Speaking about new steps in the defense industry and technology fields, Zelensky said, “We discussed the development of joint defense production. We already have six projects. Ukraine’s proposal to work with Germany in the UAV Agreement format is also on the table. We hope we can implement it.”
Recalling the importance of air defense, Zelensky added, “We also value the agreements signed in April to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense. This is important for protecting our energy infrastructure.”
