Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russian defense industry facilities are being targeted as part of the war.

Zelensky said, “Every Russian defense facility used in the war against Ukraine is a legitimate target for our long-range strikes.” Providing details about the overnight attack, he said that the Titan-Barrikady facility in Volgograd had been struck.

Zelensky reported that a fire broke out following the attack, saying, “Following the confirmed strikes, a fire erupted on the facility's premises. The scope of Ukraine's long-range strikes continues to expand.”

Zelensky concluded his statement by saying, “Ultimately, it is precisely the pressure we apply every single day that lays the groundwork for an honorable peace. I am grateful to every Ukrainian engineer and every warrior who make our long-range capabilities possible. Glory to Ukraine!”
