The winning ticket was purchased in Newnan, Georgia, but its owner has not yet been identified.

The estimated cash value of the jackpot is 452.2 million dollars.

This is the highest single payout in the history of the Georgia Lottery, breaking the previous record when two players shared the Powerball jackpot.

The ticket purchased in Buford for the October 23, 2024 drawing had won the 478.2 million-dollar jackpot.

After splitting the prize and choosing the cash option, each couple received 230.6 million dollars.

The winner has two options: receive the amount in equal payments over the next thirty years, or take a lump-sum payment of 452 million dollars.

In either case, taxes will be deducted from the winnings.
