According to a statement by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Sani met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, during his visit to the country.

The statement said: "During the meeting, the cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them were discussed. An exchange of views also took place on a number of issues of common interest."

The Ministry also reported that Al Sani met with U.S. Congress Senator Joni Ernst, who was visiting the country. Regarding this meeting, the statement noted:

"During the meeting, the close strategic relations between the State of Qatar and the United States of America and ways to support and develop them were discussed. A number of issues of common interest were also addressed."
