Albanese: We are grateful to every Australian who puts themselves in danger for all of us
Canberra, May 12 (Hibya) - Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese published a condolence message for the soldier who lost his life in a training accident in Jervis Bay.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese shared his deep sorrow regarding the death of Special Air Service Regiment soldier Staff Sergeant Lachlan Muddle.
Expressing support for the family and friends of the deceased soldier, Albanese said, “We mourn alongside the family and friends of Special Air Service Regiment soldier Staff Sergeant Lachlan Muddle, who lost his life yesterday in a training accident in Jervis Bay. Our hearts are also with his military family and the broader Defence community.”
Referring to the other soldier injured in the accident, Albanese stated, “Another soldier was also lightly injured, and we wish him a swift and full recovery.”
Highlighting the challenges of military service and the defence community, Albanese said, “This tragic accident is a painful reminder that there are no easy days for those who defend our nation. We are grateful to every Australian who serves and puts themselves in danger for all of us.”
