Albares: We condemn the violation of the status quo of the holy sites in Jerusalem
Madrid, May 7 (Hibya) - Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Jose Manuel Albares condemned violations of the status quo of holy sites in Jerusalem and attacks on civilians.
Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Jose Manuel Albares expressed the Spanish government’s concerns regarding rising tensions in the region and the inviolability of holy sites.
Emphasizing concern over the current situation in Jerusalem, Albares said, “We condemn the violation of the status quo of the holy sites in Jerusalem.”
Stating that Israel must prevent violence, Albares said, “Israel must prevent these violent attacks and guarantee the fundamental right to freedom of worship for both Christians and Muslims.”
