Ethiopian Prime Minister Ali stated that institution building and preparedness are among the government’s core responsibilities, noting that they have therefore taken deliberate and comprehensive measures to strengthen Ethiopia’s financial and economic institutions.

Ali said that the Ethiopia Finance Forward Conference, to be held this afternoon, provides an important platform by bringing together the country’s leading public finance and financial sector institutions to reflect on ongoing economic reform journeys and the priorities ahead, adding:

“This conference is an opportunity to highlight the progress we have made in public financial management, monetary and financial sector reform, revenue administration, capital market development, investment management, and public enterprise reform, and to underscore the vital role of coordination and connectivity in sustaining reform momentum and advancing Ethiopia’s broader economic transformation agenda.”
