Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand announced that Canada had raised its priorities concerning global security and economic resilience during the two-day G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Atlanta.

Emphasizing that diplomatic solutions must be grounded in international law, Anand stated that Canada, as a reliable energy partner, is working with its partners to diversify supply sources, protect critical infrastructure and develop secure, sustainable energy systems.

Anand also highlighted the importance of resilient supply chains for economic security. She noted that Canada is strengthening cooperation on critical minerals and emerging technologies through trade diversification and strategic partnerships, while also taking steps to combat forced labor. "Canada is committed to working with G20 partners to strengthen global supply chains, protect our shared interests and build a safer, more prosperous future," Anand said.
