Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand said the hybrid attack in Leipzig showed that Russia continues to undermine Europe’s security in support of its war against Ukraine.

Anand said Canada stands firmly with Germany and Ukraine and condemns Russia’s aggression.

Emphasizing that the security of NATO member countries must not be allowed to be weakened, Anand said Canada is ready to do its part to protect collective security.

Anand also said the recent incident in Leipzig would be discussed during meetings in Ireland with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, her counterparts from EU countries and other close partners.
