Baghaei: Hospital evacuation constitutes a war crime
Tehran, July 16 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said the Shahid Baghaei Hospital in Ahvaz was evacuated following what he alleged was a U.S. strike on a nearby location, arguing that it amounted to a war crime.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said the Shahid Baghaei Hospital in Ahvaz was evacuated following what he described as a U.S. strike on a nearby location.
Baghaei said the hospital, which serves as a pediatric cancer treatment center, was evacuated because of the alleged attack and that 211 children undergoing chemotherapy were urgently relocated. He said the incident caused significant distress and suffering among the children receiving treatment and claimed that it recalled attacks targeting medical facilities.
Baghaei stated: "This is a cowardly war crime committed against children, the most innocent people fighting for their lives. Those who constantly speak about human rights while remaining silent about hospitals being targeted have lost all moral credibility."
