Baqaei criticizes IAEA neutrality
Tehran, May 10 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei made statements regarding the mandate of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Speaking about the IAEA’s mandate, Baqaei said, “The IAEA’s duty is verification; it is not to send political messages about the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s missiles, or how Tehran should behave.”
Baqaei also stated, “When professional neutrality is undermined for the sake of delivering political messages, institutions lose their credibility.”
