Baqaei: US sanctions on ICC judges are an attack on justice
Tehran, August 21 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei stated that the sanctions imposed by the United States of America (USA) on four International Criminal Court (ICC) judges are an attack on justice and an indirect support for Israel’s actions in Palestine.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei made a statement regarding the US sanctions on four ICC judges from Canada, Senegal, Fiji, and France.
Baqaei described this move as "an unprecedented attack on justice" and "a clear complicity in war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Palestine."
He stressed that this US measure against ICC judges represents a grave abuse of power, grants Israel absolute immunity, and seriously endangers international peace and security.
Baqaei also characterized this step as "an arbitrary legal order, completely contrary to international law and human ethics," stating that US practices reveal their true face.
