Belgium reiterates commitment to protecting the oceans
New York, September 23 (Hibya) - Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot emphasized the importance of international law, international humanitarian law and freedom of navigation at the 81st Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.
In a statement by the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot was reported to have reiterated his country's commitment to protecting the oceans.
The statement also noted that Belgium's candidacy to host the BBNJ Secretariat was addressed in this context.
