Belgium, in its message published for World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, announced its support for international humanitarian aid organizations and volunteers.

The statement noted solidarity with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and national societies around the world.

The Belgian administration stated that it appreciates the efforts of all volunteers and personnel helping people affected by disasters, armed conflicts, health problems and social crises. The statement also highlighted that many workers continue humanitarian aid activities while risking their own safety.
