Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez commented on the measures taken by the United States against Cuban companies and vessels.

Arguing that the United States had once again taken action against the Cuban people, Bermudez emphasized that the US had imposed new coercive measures targeting Cuban companies, Cuban vessels and foreign companies involved in providing essential services and products for Cuba's economic and social development.

Commenting on the issue, Bermudez said, "This step is part of the same policy aimed at economic strangulation and collective punishment in order to subjugate an entire nation. Moreover, these policies are defended with lies and irrational justifications that neither the world nor American citizens believe. They will not bring us to our knees. Cuba is not a threat; the real threat is the embargo."
