Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva issued a congratulatory message to Keiko Fujimori following her election as President of Peru.

Lula da Silva congratulated Fujimori on her election victory and wished her success in uniting the Peruvian people around a shared development project during her term in office.

His message stated:

"Peru is a brotherly country with which Brazil shares a long border and deep human ties. We are ready to advance an ambitious bilateral agenda focused on expanding trade and investment, integrating logistics and digital infrastructure, overcoming hunger and poverty, protecting the Amazon, and combating transnational organized crime. You can count on Brazil as we work together to build a more prosperous, integrated, democratic, and sovereign South America."
