Dutch Minister of Defence Ruben Brekelmans made statements regarding the deepening strategic partnership with Japan in the field of defence.

Drawing attention to the security balance between the two regions, Brekelmans said: “Security in the Indo-Pacific and in Europe is closely interconnected. That is why the Netherlands and Japan are cooperating more strongly in defence and demonstrating our mutual commitment.”

Referring to the productivity of his meeting with his Japanese counterpart, Brekelmans added: “I was pleased to meet with Japan’s Minister of Defence, Koizumi, in order to further strengthen our cooperation.”
