Tanzania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation Mahmoud Thabit Kombo met with Norway’s Minister of International Development Åsmund Grøver Aukrust in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In a statement, Tanzania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the talks focused on strengthening Tanzania-Norway cooperation in priority development areas, particularly agriculture, health, education, energy, climate change, trade and investment.

The statement said the parties discussed developing cooperation in a way that would provide mutual benefit to the peoples of both countries.
