Czech President Pavel visits Becov Botanical Garden
Prague, September 17 (Hibya) - Czech President Petr Pavel commented on the restoration of Becov Botanical Garden for public use.
In a post on his social media account, Pavel said that 20 years ago Becov Botanical Garden was almost forgotten and in a neglected condition.
Pavel said a group of volunteers began working to prevent the garden from disappearing, noting that today it once again serves the public, provides education for children and is restoring its historical collections.
Pavel said the results of the work carried out had once again shown him the strength of civil society and of people who care about the environment in which they live.
