Dar holds phone call with Canadian Foreign Minister Anand
Islamabad, August 9 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar exchanged views with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand on regional developments and the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement.

According to a statement by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the regional situation was discussed during the call, including the recently signed Mecca Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
Dar briefed Anand on the contents of the agreement and the three countries' shared commitment to contributing to regional peace, stability and security. Developments in US-Iran relations and the situation in occupied East Jerusalem were also discussed during the call.
Dar also raised the recent Jerusalem Ministerial Meeting held in Jordan.
Dar thanked Anand for her recent visit to Pakistan, while the two ministers agreed to maintain close contact on matters of mutual interest.
