Alexander Stubb held a meeting with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on the sidelines of the “Europe-Gulf Geopolitics and Investment Summit” held in Athens.

During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening bilateral relations between Finland and Qatar and developing areas of cooperation.

Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani conveyed the greetings of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to Finnish President Stubb, while Stubb likewise extended his good wishes to the Qatari leader.

The parties also assessed developments in the Middle East, ceasefire processes, and diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions. The meeting emphasized the need to continue dialogue in order to enhance regional security and stability.
