European funds and HBOR support €3.5 million investment in Croatia
Zagreb, September 3 (Hibya) – Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic visited the new storage areas and automated production lines of Jan Spider, a company operating in the town of Pitomaca.

Plenkovic said in a social media post that the total value of the investment is €3.5 million.
Plenkovic said the project was implemented with support from European funds and the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR), adding that the investment represents an important step in developing the company’s technological capacity.
According to Plenkovic, Spider Group, which has been operating for more than 35 years, is among Croatia’s leading companies in the production and processing of medicinal and aromatic plants and in tea production.
The company currently employs 130 people and exports its products to numerous international markets.
Jan Spider’s investment in new storage areas and automated production lines is part of the company’s ongoing investments and represents an important technological step.
The investment aims to ensure higher quality and safety standards for products, while also increasing production efficiency and export capacity.
Plenkovic congratulated those who contributed to the implementation of the project and said the investment would help strengthen Croatia’s production capacity and economy.
