Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Hong Kong police claimed that unsafe scaffolding and foam materials used during maintenance work may have played a role in the rapid spread of the devastating fire that swept through a residential block, killing at least 94 people and leaving many more missing.

Firefighters are still struggling to reach individuals who may have been trapped on the upper floors of the Wang Fuk Court housing complex on Thursday, as intense heat and thick smoke hinder rescue operations. According to the South China Morning Post, later in the day one person was rescued from the stairwell on the 16th floor of one of the towers.

Authorities announced early Friday that the death toll had reached 94. They also reported 76 injuries, including 11 firefighters. This is the deadliest fire Hong Kong has seen in decades.

Fire officials said fires in four of the eight residential blocks at the site had been extinguished, three were under control, and one building was unaffected.
