General elections begin in New Zealand
Wellington, November 7 (Hibya) – New Zealand's general elections began on Saturday, with the ruling National Party-led coalition facing the Labour Party-led opposition.
According to CCTV, New Zealand's general elections began on Saturday, with the ruling coalition led by the National Party competing against the opposition led by the Labour Party.
Early voting for the general elections began on October 26. More than 2,300 polling stations across the country opened at 9:00 a.m. local time, with voting scheduled to conclude at 7:00 p.m.
In the elections, voters cast two separate votes, one for a political party and another for a candidate in their electorate. Opinion polls indicate that neither of the two major political blocs is expected to secure a majority on its own.
The Electoral Commission is expected to announce the preliminary results on Saturday evening, while the official vote count is scheduled to be completed on November 27.
