Guterres welcomes joint declaration between Cambodia and Thailand
New York, October 27 (Hibya) – United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres announced that he welcomes the joint declaration signed between Cambodia and Thailand.
Guterres stated that the declaration is an important step toward strengthening the ceasefire reached in July, adding: “I also welcome the joint efforts to alleviate the suffering of civilians. I hope this declaration paves the way for lasting peace in the region.”
UN Secretary-General Guterres emphasized that the United Nations remains committed to contributing to all efforts aimed at supporting peace, stability, and development.
