Qatar and the United Kingdom sign Memorandum of Understanding
London, October 28 (Hibya) – Qatar and the United Kingdom signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in London for cooperation in the field of dispute resolution.
According to a statement from Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed an MoU in London to enhance cooperation in the area of dispute resolution.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Qatar by Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and on behalf of the UK by Hamish Falconer, Minister for the Middle East and North Africa at the FCDO.
The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Kingdom in the fields of mediation and the peaceful resolution of disputes, support dialogue channels, and facilitate the exchange of expertise and experience in preventive diplomacy and conflict resolution.
It also seeks to coordinate joint efforts to support regional and global peace initiatives.
