Hegseth: US directs military resources to humanitarian aid in Panama after earthquake
Washington, October 10 (Hibya) - United States (US) Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced that military resources had been directed to the region to support humanitarian aid efforts following the earthquake in Panama. Hegseth said security cooperation between the United States and Panama had been expanded.

In a statement on social media, Hegseth extended his well wishes to the people of Panama and said the United States stood with the country during the post-earthquake recovery process.
Pointing to expanded security cooperation between Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino and the US Department of War, Hegseth said military resources had been rapidly directed to support humanitarian aid operations.
Hegseth said the United States would continue to stand by its friends and partners in the Western Hemisphere.
