Herzog: I learned of Levi's passing with great sorrow
Jerusalem, June 7 (Hibya) - Israeli President Isaac Herzog issued a condolence message following the death of Israeli singer Yitzhak Levi.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog said in a statement, "I learned with great sorrow of the passing of Yitzhak Levi, one of the most beloved and important voices in Israeli music."
Noting that Levi's unique voice and songs accompanied Israeli society for decades, Herzog said, "His songs became an inseparable part of our lives. With his distinctive style, he managed to touch the hearts of many people, bring together different generations and communities, and provide millions of Israelis with moments of emotion, comfort, and happiness."
In his message, Herzog added, "I extend my condolences to his family, friends, and all who loved him. May his memory be blessed."
