IDF foils attempt to smuggle weapons into Israel's western border
Jerusalem, August 21 (Hibya) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons into Israel's western border.
According to a statement from the IDF, the attempt to smuggle weapons into Israel's western border was prevented. The statement noted that last night, in the Paran Brigade area, IDF soldiers detected a drone that had entered Israeli territory with the purpose of smuggling weapons:
"IDF fighters identified and seized the drone, inside of which were 6 long-barreled rifles, 10 pistols, and a large number of magazines. The weapons were later handed over to security forces for further examination."
