IDF: Iranian drone launch team neutralized
Jerusalem, March 11 (Hibya) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a drone launch team preparing an attack against Israel at a launch site in western Iran was neutralized in an air operation minutes before the launch.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared details about thwarting a planned drone attack against Israel from Iranian territory.
According to the statement, a unit affiliated with the Iranian Air Force was detected together with a fleet of drones at a strategic launch site in western Iran. After confirming the identities of the soldiers preparing for the launch, the order for the operation was given.
The following details were provided regarding the operation:
"On Monday, the Iranian Air Force identified a group of soldiers belonging to the drone fleet of the Iranian terrorist regime at a launch site in western Iran. After their identities were confirmed, an Air Force aircraft killed several soldiers from the unit that had entered the launch area to launch drones toward Israeli territory."
The IDF emphasized that operations in the region are continuing systematically, stating: "The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continue their operations without interruption to destroy the infrastructure of ballistic missile and drone systems in western Iran and neutralize the soldiers operating them. The goal is to reduce as much as possible the firing range directed toward the territory of the State of Israel."
