According to the IDF statement, the Israel Defense Forces, under the guidance of the Military Intelligence Directorate, targeted facilities belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in various regions of southern Lebanon.

The operation included strikes on numerous launch sites where the organization stored weapons, a weapons depot, military positions used to plan attacks against IDF forces, and additional terrorist infrastructure points.

The statement said: “The presence of Hezbollah's infrastructure and activities in these areas constitutes a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon. The IDF will continue to act to eliminate any threat against the State of Israel and will remain committed to the understandings reached between Israel and Lebanon.”
