Italy opens new embassy in Mauritania
Rome, October 29 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani inaugurated Italy’s new embassy in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania. The ceremony was also attended by Mauritania’s Minister of Economy and Development.

In a statement on the opening, Tajani emphasized that this was a “concrete step” by the Italian government to strengthen cooperation with Africa’s strategic regions.
“This step aims to support the region’s development through Italian businesses as well as bilateral cooperation projects,” Tajani said.
