Jetten: Wishing everyone a wonderful Amsterdam Pride Week
Amsterdam, August 1 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten issued a message on the occasion of the Amsterdam Canal Parade, saying he was honored to be the first Prime Minister of the Netherlands to take part in the event.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten highlighted the values represented by the Amsterdam Canal Parade and expressed his support for the LGBTI community.
Speaking about the significance of the day, Jetten said: “Today is the Amsterdam Canal Parade. Every year it is a special moment. It is about pride, freedom, equality and inclusion. There is still much to be done for the LGBTI community, both at home and abroad.”
Noting that he was the first Prime Minister to participate in the event, Jetten said: “That is exactly why it is important to celebrate together today. It was an honor for me to be the first Prime Minister of the Netherlands to take part in this parade.”
Jetten concluded his message by saying: “I wish everyone a wonderful Amsterdam Pride Week and World Pride Week!”
