Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev met with Georgian Ambassador Levan Diasamidze.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda and confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening Kazakhstan–Georgia relations based on traditional friendship and partnership.

Foreign Minister Kosherbayev welcomed the long-standing and regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries and noted that inter-ministerial political consultations and the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation are important mechanisms of bilateral cooperation.

Special emphasis was also placed on developing trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as expanding cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors, including projects within the framework of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (“Middle Corridor”).
