In a statement, the U.S. State Department said that the United States will support the successful implementation of the historic agreement signed between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces.

The statement noted that the United States will continue to work closely with all parties to facilitate a smooth and timely integration process, emphasizing that the agreement will strengthen Syria’s unity, sovereignty and stability for the benefit of all its people.

It was also stressed that, in close coordination with regional partners, the United States is ready to ensure that this transition moves forward in a peaceful and effective manner to achieve lasting reconciliation and prosperity across the Middle East, adding: “We hope for a brighter future for Syria and the entire region.”
