Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a working lunch in Moscow with the heads of diplomatic missions of accredited BRICS member and partner countries.

During the meeting, current global developments were discussed, and the importance of preserving the central role of the United Nations was emphasized. Participants highlighted the need to reform the global governance system and to increase the influence of countries representing the Global Majority in international decision-making processes.

A shared determination was also expressed to strengthen BRICS’ international profile and enhance coordination among members on major multilateral platforms.

The parties conducted comprehensive assessments on the development of the strategic partnership within the group in line with the priorities set by India during its BRICS presidency this year.
