Likud alleges election irregularities: We are presenting evidence that the elections were stolen
Jerusalem, October 28 (Hibya) - The Likud Party, led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, alleged that irregularities had occurred in Israel's elections through supporters of Arab parties and called on the police, Shin Bet and the Central Elections Committee to conduct a comprehensive investigation. The party claimed that serious offences had been committed during the electoral process, including bribery, threats, violence, forgery and the use of prohibited software to influence voters.
In a statement, Likud said, “The Likud Party is presenting the police, Shin Bet and the Central Elections Committee with hundreds of testimonies and pieces of evidence that the elections were stolen at polling stations in numerous Arab communities.” The statement referred to thousands of envelopes containing cash and ballot papers belonging to the Ra'am Party, incidents of threats and violence against polling station officials, multiple votes being cast inside voting booths and allegations of voting under two different identities.
The party also alleged discrepancies between the number of envelopes in ballot boxes and the number of voters who cast ballots, as well as the use of prohibited software to influence voters. Arguing that these alleged irregularities had seriously undermined the integrity and results of the elections, Likud called for action against those responsible.
The statement urged the police and Shin Bet to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the allegations and called on the Central Elections Committee to “take immediate action to investigate these offences, which have seriously damaged the integrity and results of the elections in Israel.” Likud argued that the incidents represented a severe blow to Israeli democracy and citizens' right to vote, calling on the competent authorities to intervene swiftly and decisively.
