Lithuania and Vietnam discuss cooperation in energy, technology, and innovation
Vilnius, July 28 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys met with Vietnamese Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries and regional security issues.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys met with Vietnamese Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi.
In a statement following the meeting, Budrys said that cooperation between Lithuania and Vietnam was reviewed. He noted that economic relations between the two countries are moving beyond traditional trade toward new partnerships in the fields of energy, information and communication technologies (ICT), and innovation.
Budrys stated that Lithuanian companies are ready to contribute to Vietnam's digitalization and industrial transformation, adding that the goal is to create new cooperation opportunities across Southeast Asia.
It was also reported that regional and global security developments were discussed during the meeting.
