Wellington, April 27 (Hibya) – New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon stated that the free trade agreement signed with India will create new opportunities in trade, investment, and exports.

Emphasizing the importance of the agreement, Luxon said, “Today, we have reached a historic turning point in relations between India and New Zealand.”
Referring to the scope of the agreement, Luxon stated, “This agreement will offer unprecedented opportunities in trade, investment, innovation, and connectivity.”
Highlighting its impact on exports, Luxon said, “The agreement will help New Zealand diversify its export markets and contribute to the goal of doubling export value over the next 10 years.”
Addressing the gains for the Indian side, Luxon noted, “Indian exporters will gain duty-free access to the New Zealand market, while consumers will have easier access to high-quality products.”
Pointing to cooperation in agriculture and technology, Luxon said, “This agreement will strengthen cooperation in agricultural productivity and advanced agricultural technologies.”
Luxon stated that the agreement will take relations between the two countries beyond trade.
