Macron congratulates Tom Laperche on Route du Rhum victory
Paris, November 8 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron congratulated French sailor Tom Laperche on winning the Route du Rhum race and equaling his own record.
French President Emmanuel Macron stated in a social media post that Tom Laperche had won the Route du Rhum race thanks to his talent, courage and determination.
Noting that Laperche had equaled his own record, Macron referred to France's maritime tradition, saying, "France, the nation of great sailors, continues to inspire us to dream. Congratulations, Tom!"
