Merz comments on the agreement reached in EU-US customs tariff negotiations
Berlin, July 27 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that the agreement reached in the EU-US customs tariff negotiations prevented a trade conflict that would have severely impacted Germany's export-oriented economy.
German Chancellor Merz evaluated the agreement between the EU and the US. In his statement, Merz said, "The agreement reached in the EU-US customs tariff negotiations prevented a trade conflict that would have severely impacted Germany's export-oriented economy."
Merz also noted that the European Union's unified action and the negotiators' intense efforts have borne fruit.
